Ice Cave Tour – Breidamerkurjokull
Discover the magic of Iceland's glacial world on this unforgettable ice cave tour into Breiðamerkurjökull, one of the most spectacular outlet glaciers of the mighty Vatnajökull ice cap.
Starting from Jökulsárlón – Glacier Lagoon, you will board a super jeep for an off-road journey across the glacial terrain to the entrance of the natural ice cave. Once inside, your professional glacier guide will lead you through tunnels of stunning blue ice, revealing the extraordinary forces of nature that have shaped this frozen world over thousands of years.
The tour is suitable for most fitness levels (Easy to Medium difficulty) and all safety equipment is provided, including helmets, crampons and ice axes. Minimum age is 6 years.
This tour runs from 1 October to 30 April, when the ice cave conditions are at their best. Departures at 09:30 and 14:00 daily.
